The Hungarian Geothermal Association (HGA) was established in 1995.

The objective of the Association is manifested by the triple notion of
" representation of interests — co-operation — co-ordination ".

This means the collaboration of the domestic geothermal water utilises for the multi-purpose, effective utilisation of the thermal water while preserving the reserves and protecting the environment.

In addition to the foregoing it is one of the important tasks of the Association to take upon itself the representation of Hungary in various international geothermal organisations, e.g. in the main international organisation, the International Geothermal Association (IGA).
